About the Friends
The Friends of Cook Memorial Library is a not-for-profit organization which exists to promote books in general and the Cook Memorial Library in particular. It is run by volunteers. After expenses, 100% of the money raised (either through fund raisers and programs or donations from the public) goes back into the library. We underwrite the costs of the library's reading programs (the costs of supplies and prizes) and finance equipment and supplies not covered in the library budget. We sponsor programs of interest for the library and community. We have also provided volunteers as needed for special library activities.
The Future of the Friends of Cook
The Friends are unable to host any further book sales until further notice due to a lack of volunteers. If you're interested in helping, please contact us about volunteering as a member of the Friends of Cook.
Want to Donate Books?
Until further notice Cook Memorial Library will no longer be accepting donations of books. However, Lake Forest Library accepts book donations year round.
