Rules
To participate in our bag sale, we ask that you follow these rules to ensure a pleasant shopping enviroment for other customers and the Friends volunteer staff.
- The use of scanners by booksale customers is permitted at the discretion of the booksale staff. As always, there can be no hoarding or blocking access to books. Staff reserves the right to ban the use of scanners if customers are not courteous to fellow shoppers. Non-compliant behavior will result in expulsion from the sale.
- Customers may only pack books into brown grocery bags level to the top.
- You will be issued up to two cloth bags to use during the sale if possible. When these are full they will be taken to a table in the front to be counted and bagged. Those who are planning to buy more than two cloth bags worth will be asked to take the bags to the checkout and stored at the front.
- After books are purchased, they may be repacked into boxes and removed from the premises.
- Boxes will not be allowed in the booksale.
- The express-pay table is reserved for those with two or less bags of books.
- Staff will assist in moving books if time and personnel permit, but you may wish to bring your own helpers for your personal assistance.
- If you remove a book and decide you do not want it, you may place it back in the same slot or place it in a book bin that is in the front of the room. There will be staff to help you return large numbers of books.
- Please extend to courtesy to other shoppers so that all persons have equal access to the books.
- There are no drinks allowed inside the building by custormers.
- There are no strollers allowed inside, unless during a quiet time of the sale.
Directions
The book sale will be held at the library storage facility which is at 204/206 Terrace Drive, Mundelein, IL 60060. To reach us, go to Rt 176, then go south on Butterfield Road, turn right (west) on Allanson Road, and left (south) on Terrace Drive. 204/206 is in the second building on the right.
